Lia Barrett photographs in a style of documentary portraiture, capturing the spirit and honesty of people living life. When she is not photographing people, she puts on fins and a tank and submerges her camera into the underwater world, where she meets sea creatures both large and small.
Lia graduated from Parsons School of Design and Eugene Lang College in New York in 2007. She earned a degree in photography and a degree in sociology and history. Since graduating, Lia has been traveling the world on a continual quest for adventure while striving to improve her skills. She has been published in newspapers and magazines in Honduras, Korea, Thailand, the UK, and the US, and has participated in shows in Colorado, Seoul, and New York.
In between travels, Lia resides in Melbourne, Australia.
